Kentridge Off-Campus Fight Results
in Mega-Suspension

Last week almost 50 students were suspended because they watched a fight between two girls on September 25. The fight took place after school off the grounds of Kentridge High School.
So why were 50 students suspended?
Because the fight was recorded and published on YouTube, those that were a part
of this "illegal" event were documented.
Not only was the fight between the two recorded, but bystanders watching the fight were also recorded.
Unfortunately, bystanders weren't trying to stop the fight, and Kent School District spokesperson Becky Hanks told a local news reporter that if you are present at a fight, you're in essence, encouraging the behavior.
Word is that all the students received some sort of suspension ranging from three to five days.
Apparently an argument between the two occured earlier that day at school and was directly related to the fight after school. This connection is what allows the District to extend its discipline policies beyond the campus grounds.
What do you think?
